Our resort is called 'Friends' because we like to see our guests not just as customer but like friends who stay with us to have a good time.

'Friends Bungalow' is located on the north half of Aow Yai beach at Koh Phayam, a beautiful island in the Andaman Sea southwest of Ranong in Thailand. The nature and the wildlife are amazing, white beaches with clear water and only a few tourists. There are no cars on the island.

Aow Yai (big bay) is on the west side of the island, the north half of the 3,5 km wide bay is the quieter part of the beach.

The good thing about our location is that we are far enough away from the bars to have a quiet evening but if you want to go out you can just walk down the beach without the need of a motorbike or taxi.

We have a beachfront family bungalow, 4 sea view bungalows, 2 garden bungalows and 4 furnished tents on elevated wooden platforms, each with own bathroom and a roof made from nature materials that protects the tent from sunshine and rain. All our bungalows are build with isolation and have a fan, the beachfront family bungalow has two, one on each floor. Also the tents have a fan inside.

All the windows at our bungalows and tents are equipped with mosquito nets that allow the sea breeze to come in without having the room full of uninvited animals. Our mattresses are clean and from good quality.

Our restaurant is directly at the beach. You can choose to sit under palm trees in the sand, on one of our platforms with Thai pillows and Japanese tables or in our open restaurant. We serve delicious Thai food as well as steak, pizza, pasta and other western dishes. We recently added a vegetarian and vegan menu. Very popular are also the Burmese specialties and our homemade baguettes and cakes.
